June 12th and 13th
4th Annual Pioneer and Primitive Arts Festival
Spend a day learning about Pioneer ways and the Primitive Arts of times gone by. Rob "Armchair" Geeding, and associates will be setting up a pioneer camp. Authentic dress and methods will convey "the way it was" on the early frontier. Atl-atl dart throwing for kids and adults to learn about the methods of the Paleo Hunter.Ohio Atlatl Association listed event. OAA members may camp onsite. ISAC contest. Flint Knappers to demonstrate the Art of Arrowhead and Knife making. Music and entertainers. Vendors of Pioneer and Related wares. The Fort is a unique venue for this type of Festival. A big thanks this year to the many new participants and knappers we had in 2009. No admission fee for the general public,
Re-enactors and Knappers in festival camp free of charge. Participant Appreciation Dinner Saturday evening, meat provided, bring some dessert or sides if you can.

This year Fort Firelands will be hosting their fourth annual, car show.
We look forward to it being an awesome event in 2010.
Cruise into this event in your mean machines, the show promises to be a great time for all. Door prizes provided by Fort Firelands, area business and the many shops located in the Fort Complex. Dash Plaques and Top three prizes for participants in show. Local DJ Jerry "Moon Dog" Vess on hand to Rock you, and Roll you "old style".

Fort Firelands is working on scheduling an event or two, with local rock bands. If you are a local or traveling band that is near the Port Clinton area get in touch with us. Our stage has been graced in the past with such big name bands as: Steppenwolf and Alice Cooper, we think it is time to revive "the Fort's" tradition as a great entertainment venue, so stay tuned for more details.
